Description:  This presentation will discuss the current fire code and the code adoption process in the City of Fargo.  Time will be spent educating about common fire hazards (code violations) found in various occupancies, as well as the importance of build-in fire protection systems. 

About Our Speakers: Dawn Stollenwerk is the Assistant Fire Marshal of the Fargo Fire Department. She began her career as a firefighter in 2009. In 2014, she was promoted to the fire prevention bureau, working to reduce the rate of emergencies in the City of Fargo through code enforcement and public education. She is certified through the International Code Council as a Certified Fire Marshal and Certified Building Official, and through the International Association of Arson Investigators as a Certified Fire Investigator. As the Assistant Fire Marshal, she conducts complex plan reviews in accordance with the International Fire Code.
