In this session Ron will be sharing his experiences and thoughts on safety culture over the years. This will include how the workforce has changed over the years and how our safety approach needs to adapt to the changes in the workforce. I will also talk about seasonal increases in the number of workers and how that affects our overall safety planning.
About Our Speakers:
As a champion of job site safety, Ron uses his 45 years of construction experience to lead his team in identifying, evaluating and developing project-specific safety training. As Director of Field Operations and Safety, he creates efficient project emergency response plans and site-specific security. Fostering a safety culture across the entire team, Ron maintains positive relationships with all stakeholders while holding the team accountable and maintaining the highest safety standard. In 2025, he received the OECS Safety Champion Award for his commitment to developing and upholding Enclave’s safety-minded culture.
Across any initiative, Ron ensures management consistency and accountability while constructing state-of-the-art facilities, ensuring the project is staffed adequately, built correctly and administered through proper safety and quality protocols. His experience spans industries, where he has worked on health care, education, industrial and manufacturing, restaurants, retail, hotel, multifamily, military, National Park Service, prison and historical renovations.
Providing leadership to site personnel in managing and delivering all construction activities, Ron oversees communication protocols, documentation, specification/plan compliance, plan review, quality control measures, safety, site staging and site logistics, and schedule monitoring and sequencing. In addition, Ron is experienced in disruption avoidance, spending time in pre-planning to actively strategize workflows and avoid daily activity disruption in occupied spaces during construction.
